Bose Public Affairs Group LLC is pleased to announce that principal Roger Harvey has been named to the board of directors of The Julian Center. Harvey will serve a two-year term through 2014.
The Julian Center has been supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other life crises for 37 years and operates one of the largest facilities of its kind in the United States. The Julian Center mission is to provide the services victims need to recover and build a life absent of abuse. Those services include counseling, safe shelter, case management, advocacy, education, transitional housing, and affordable housing. Through outreach and consultation, the Julian Center also seeks to educate the community about the issue of domestic violence and its impact on all our lives. The programs and services are designed to contribute to a significant reduction in the incidence of domestic violence and sexual assault, to support survivors in healing, and to help break the intergenerational cycle of abuse.
Harvey oversees strategic communications at Bose Public Affairs Group and Bose McKinney & Evans where he works closely with schools, corporations, governmental entities, and non-profit organizations providing strategic communications services. His expertise includes crisis communications, public relations, media coaching and grassroots campaigns. He also assists clients with messaging and branding to internal and external audiences. He is a frequent conference speaker discussing the latest trends in journalism and how to communicate effectively with the media.
