Former city government adviser added to firm’s growing procurement business

Bose Public Affairs Group LLC announced today the addition of John Cochran to its professional ranks. Cochran, a former adviser with the City of Indianapolis, joins Bose Public Affairs Group as a senior public affairs consultant in the firm’s Indianapolis headquarters office located on Monument Circle.

As a senior public affairs consultant, Cochran will work primarily in the business of government procurement and provide additional consulting for the firm’s strategic communications clients.
 
Before joining Bose Public Affairs Group, Cochran successfully managed Mayor Greg Ballard’s 2007 mayoral campaign. Since then, he has served the City of Indianapolis as special counsel to Mayor Ballard, advising him on issues at the local, state and federal level. As a senior member of the mayor’s administration, he also served ex officio on the board of directors for the Indianapolis City Market Corporation, and led marketing and public outreach efforts to increase participation in the 2010 Census.
 
Prior to his years of service to the City of Indianapolis, Cochran’s professional experience includes various roles in a legal capacity with the Indiana Department of Transportation, Indiana House of Representatives and the Indiana Secretary of State.
 
A graduate of George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia, Cochran earned his Bachelor of Science in psychology from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
