Bose Public Affairs Group LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Wilson as public relations director. Wilson will support clients from a variety of industries on the local, state and national level with expertise in strategic communications, media relations, social media strategies and marketing.
“Emily is a proven PR strategist with extensive experience leading strategic communications campaigns and teams,” said Roger Harvey, principal of Bose Public Affairs Group. “Her media relations expertise and communications strategies have proven successful for clients throughout the Midwest and nationally. We are very fortunate to have her join our team, and to be able to offer her diverse skillset to our clients.”
Prior to joining Bose Public Affairs Group, Wilson served as account executive for Bohlsen Group where she led corporate accounts developing and executing strategic communications plans to garner favorable worldwide media coverage for clients.
Prior to her experience at Bohlsen, Wilson led PR and brand awareness campaigns in support of sales and marketing in the publishing industry that garnered placements with such top-tier media outlets as CBS This Morning, Newsweek, ABC News and Politico.
Wilson is a graduate of Hanover College with a bachelor’s degree in English literature, and a graduate of Indiana University with a master’s degree in journalism.
During her graduate studies at Indiana University, Wilson was awarded the Cushman Fellowship in Journalism for academic achievement. As an undergraduate student at Hanover College, Wilson was the recipient of the Dorothy S. Bucks Award in English, which recognizes the top Hanover College English student as nominated by the English department’s faculty. In addition, while attending Hanover College, Wilson earned the unprecedented distinction as a two-year recipient of the annual Shanklin English Scholarship.
In 2015, Wilson received a Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Hoosier Chapter Award of Honor for media relations.
