Leaders of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP and Bose Public Affairs Group LLC are pleased to announce that Scott Bedwell joins the law and public affairs firms.
Bedwell will serve as an alcohol and tobacco industry consultant for Bose McKinney & Evans and a senior policy advisor for Bose Public Affairs Group. Prior to joining the firms, he served the Indiana State Excise Police in the roles of industry liaison, trade relations and local alcohol board coordinator.
As member of the Indiana State Excise Police for 25 years, he has extensive experience in working with industry members which include manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and dealers on compliance and licensing related issues.
Bedwell also has vast knowledge of alcohol laws and rules. During his time as the local board coordinator, he assisted officers and permittees on the alcohol board process. He worked closely with senior-level officials within the Tax and Trade Bureau of the federal government on compliance and licensing issues.
Active in the community, Bedwell is a member of the Plaza International Prep Academy Booster Club, the SWIRCA & More special events committee and St. Ben’s Parish in Evansville, Ind. He also volunteers his time with Evansville Harrison Girls’ Soccer.
Bedwell received the Indiana State Excise Police Officer of the Year award in 2011 and was twice recognized with the Educator of the Year award. He is a graduate of Lake Michigan College and holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Indiana State University.
