INDIANAPOLIS—Bose Public Affairs Group LLC (BPAG) is proud to welcome Denny Costerison as vice president. A visionary leader in the field of education, Costerison has been a tireless champion for the Indiana public education sector for more than half a century, shaping policy, advancing the work of educational business officials and resolutely advocating for K-12 public education.

For 39 years, Costerison served as executive director for the Indiana Association of School Business Officials (IASBO); he was named executive director emeritus upon his retirement. Prior to joining IASBO, Costerison held key roles with the Indiana School Boards Association, the Indiana Department of Education’s Division of School Finance and served as a registered lobbyist representing Indiana public schools.

“Denny has left lasting improvements on the school business management profession; few individuals have contributed more to Indiana’s K–12 education than Denny,” said Andrew Miller, managing partner at BPAG. “I’m thrilled to welcome him to our team. His passion for public education and his deep expertise across every facet of the field will be an invaluable asset to the firm.”

Costerison’s dedication earned him numerous honors, including the IASBO John F. Lamplighter Distinguished Service Award (2004), the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents Point of Light Award (2022), the national Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International Eagle Award for Professional Service (2001), and a Sagamore of the Wabash from Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb (2019). Most impressively, he was awarded the ASBO International Dr. Fred Hill Distinguished Service Award (2016), the highest recognition that ASBO presents to its members. Bestowed solely at the discretion of the ASBO International Board of Directors, and only when an individual’s contributions are truly extraordinary, exceptional in scope, impact, and lasting significance. Denny is one of only six individuals who have received this distinction in the organization’s history.

A graduate of Ball State University, Costerison earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting.
