David Crane manages a diverse government relations practice including intellectual property, technology, artificial intelligence, financial services, energy, healthcare and pharmaceutical interests. He is a legislative and public policy specialist with over 30 years of experience in the United States Congress, national and state politics.
On Capitol Hill, David served as Senior Domestic Policy Advisor to Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott. He also served as senior advisor to Senator John McCain, including as Professional Staff on the Senate Commerce Committee and for Senator McCain’s presidential campaigns in 2000 and 2008, and as Legislative Director for Senator Dan Coats of Indiana.
David started his career in Washington conducting opposition research for the National Republican Senatorial Committee. A native of Indiana, he worked on a number of statewide political campaigns in the Hoosier state and held private sector positions in commercial real estate and broadcasting before moving to Washington.
Education
David holds a degree in political science from Ball State University.
