Profile

As a principal with Bose Public Affairs Group, Trenton Hahn represents a wide variety of clients before state government and local municipalities in Indiana.  He advises and lobbies on complex issues involving insurance and financial institutions, health care, outdoor advertising and gaming.  Trent has extensive experience in working with trade associations, public/private companies and not-for-profits in assisting them with government relations.

Trent serves as executive director and counsel to the Association of Indiana Life Insurance Companies, a trade association representing numerous life insurance companies. He frequently attends and monitors activities at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, American Council of Life Insurers and the National Conference of Insurance Legislators.  Trent also serves as legislative and legal counsel to the Indiana Funeral Directors Association, a trade association with over 480 member companies.

In addition to his legislative practice, Trent is a partner in Bose McKinney & Evans LLP where he serves as co-chair of the firm’s Insurance Group and is a member of the Business Services Group. He represents clients in matters relating to insurance regulatory and transactions, corporate transactions, and gaming and hospitality.

Trent has been named a Rising Star by Indiana Super Lawyers® in the area of Government Relations (2009, 2010, 2014-2018).

Education

Trent earned his B.S. in public affairs from Indiana University in 2001, and his J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2004.

Appointments / Memberships

Trent is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana and the Association of Life Insurance Counsel. He is on the board of directors of Vantage Casualty Insurance Company, Orion180 Insurance Company and Orion180 Select Insurance Company.
